Keira Scuro is an Australian artist based in Sydney, whose practice centres on translating moments of experience into abstract colour and form.
She studied at the Julian Ashton Art School for one year in 1988 before completing a Bachelor of Visual Art. Her career has included periods of practice in both New York City and Seattle, Washington. There she allowed new environments and rhythms to expand and deepen her visual language.
Keira’s work is driven by a desire to collect fragments of sensation and distill them into layered shapes and palettes. Through her evolving practice, she continues to explore how perception can be analysed and rendered in pencil, paint and film.
